Yet again I am so sorry for not posting recently as I have just finished my end of year exams for school however a couple of months ago on the 13th-16th May I was on a school trip to Paris in France. So I decided to show you a few pictures about it and tell you what we got up to so here goes.
When we arrived at our accommodation we found our rooms unpacked and had a tour of the place. It was massive and had a variety of things to do during our breaks. The food here was quite good but I wouldn’t recommend it if I had to. The beds were quite comfortable (if you like hard beds) and the place was kept nice and clean.
The next day (the 14th) was my b-day so that night 12:00am that morning my friends that I shared a room with woke me up in celebration and I found the room to be covered in banners, balloons and all sorts and I cried at their effort they had stayed up all night working on this. I was so pleased. I opened my cards and presents and then not that long afterwards fell straight back asleep. That day we journeyed out to Parc Asterix. A theme park set around the comics ‘Asterix.’ Everyone had so much fun and it was a great birthday. Once we had arrived back at the accommodation we had free time so me and my friends watched the football match that was put on for people who wanted to join in we played music and generally just had a laugh. I was very tired that night so did not stay up late.
The next day which was 15th May was probably the most eventful we went to a few different places starting off with the French market in the center of Paris. I bought a couple of things from here: sunglasses, key chains and some little bits and bobs for friends and family back at home. After we had finished at the French Market we went on to explore the Sacre Cour. The Sacre Cour is Roman Catholic Church that was built in 1914, it is a beautiful building and one to be admired. We then went on to visit the painter’s market right around the corner from the Sacre Cour. There were many different paintings on show and some where being painted and drawn live which was exciting. I have to say we didn’t spend that long at the painter’s market until we moved on to the cruise along the river seine. The cruise was lots of fun as not only did we get to see a close up view of the Eiffel tower but we got to see the Notre Dame too. The pointy cathedral was so majestic. I should hope to visit it one day. After we had turned around and headed back to the docking point we got off and made our way to the Eiffel Tower. For me this was the most exciting part as the view was amazing. We walked the up to the first level which already had an amazing view and then walked up to the second level which must of given us a good workout. Some of the people on the trip with me started to get really nervous and scared as they were scared of heights but they overcame their fear and went right to the very top. The view was amazing and I took loads of pictures however many of them did not turn out very well. One of the great things was that we watched the sunset. It was incredible looking out over Paris whilst the sun was setting that was the joy of my day. We arrived back late that day so we didn’t have any free time but it was worth it.
The next day was the 16th unfortunately we left on this day but there was still one more place to stop at on the way. A chcolate factory! We watched chcocolate being made and larned about how it was made and then at the end we got a chance to buy some…ITwas very expensive though. I bought three blocks of chocolate two milk chcoclates and one dark chocolate the dark was for my parents and one of the milk ones was for my brother. I ate my block on the way home on the ferry it was delicious.
And that about concludes my time in Paris. I should hope to post something else soon. Here are some pictures I took on the way.
